I must have been out with the only 2 other people in Nottingham as the pubs sloshed out at 8.30. We sat at a window table of a pub as everyone converged on the Market Square, to be rowdy in a larger group. One development over the previous decade is that there were quite a few women in the groups, something which 10 or 15 years ago would have been rare. Having been trapped in a pub during the world cup, this development seems to lower the level of aggression. Only slightly, but I'll take wjat I can get. There were also a few families. Give us another 10 or 15 years and we might be approaching a more European position.
