#[linkfarm] MEPs push for 30kph limit on residential roads throughout Europe
Of course, in Britain we'd get to round the 18.641mph up to 20mph to stop pedestrians getting too uppity.

#[code]CycleStreets for Android now available

CycleStreets, providing cycle routing for the UK, is now available on Android – Install the app from the Android Market now - for free!

I picked up this project at the start of the year, when it was essentially dormant, and now it's live just in time for Bike Week. Read more about it on the CycleStreets blog or poke around in the code on GitHub.

#[linkfarm] Do London's Conservatives support cycling? - He said that the City of London is currently considering introducing a 20mph limit within its borders ... but the Conservatives were "not in favour of introducing a 20mph limit across London".
Don't know what definition of London is being used here, but in central London I can't see it making much difference. Borisbiking across London I've rarely been outpaced by traffic, so maximum speeds must be around 15mph. That said, Blackfriars Bridge, while I don't use it hugely often, is fast and sometimes rather hairy.
