# From The Times, back in July - Children swap cards advertising call girls.

This could all be our fault. The Times article doesn't mention trumps, but this summary does.

#Happy Crimbo!
v.e.cable said what does happy crimbo mean ? a reference to crime? [added 16th Dec 2006]
It's slang, in our house anyway, possibly elsewhere, for Christmas, as in "who wants some more Crimbo pub?". Also Crimble, Crimblemas. [added 17th Dec 2006]

# Now the little chum's mobile there's just no stopping him. He vocalises a lot more now too - "da da da", "ma ma ma" and "adger" being common along with assorted errs and oohs. I'm trying to teach him to say "bim bim bim" but he just can't seem to get it.

#Crawling!
The little chap crawled! Forwards!

My Mum was up for the day, so she got to see it. He's going to have to pull something pretty special out of his hat when Nat's Mum comes up next week.

# Is there evidence of life in Maritian Meteorite AH84001? Everett Gibson was the man who originally said yes, but just about everyone else said NO! until now

Expect to hear my old boss Colin Pillinger equivocating on the Today programme this morning.

# The cellar has beaten us.

Our cellar suffers a bit of minor flooding every winter, but generally not before February and only an inch or two of water. For the last few weeks it's rarely been less than ankle deep, and in the last couple of days the water rose so quickly Nat thought the freezer, sat up on its pallet, was in danger.

Up to then, I'd actually grown to like it. Everytime I went down to get some coal, I'd imagine what it would be like to keep a small shoal of fish down there. They could dart about your feet as you paddled round. Some nice shubunkins perhaps, or some little goldfish. Something nice and quick, not lumbering fantails or anything like that. Maybe even, given the setting, some blind albino cave fish.

But it's not to be. We bought a pump and my dreams of subterranean fish keeping disappeared in two hours flat.
